Surface EMG
Surface EMG test is similar to an "EKG" for the heart. It uses hand held electrodes that are placed over the muscles of the neck and back to identify the exact location of abnormal muscle activity. In the past a doctor would just "feel" whether or not you have spasm. This test can accurately locate minute amounts of muscle tension and asymmetry before they become detectable by hand.

Electronic ROM
ROM or Range of Motion, is a test to measure your spine's ability to bend and move. The computerized InsightSystem is able to accurately measure motion, compare it to normal and print out a report showing any areas of lost motion. Your doctors may have asked you to "touch your toes" and observed your motion from outside, but this is highly inaccurate and not up to modern medical standards.

ThermalScan
Using infrared sensors, the InsightSystem detects alterations in body temperature around the spine to determine whether abnormal nerve function (facilitation) is present.
